Yueyang WANGPhD Graduate
Yueyang Wang, received his B.Eng. in Materials Science and Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen in 2020. Since 2021 he has been pursuing a Ph.D. at the University of Macau under the supervision of Prof. Guoxing SUN, focusing on “Structure Engineering of Hard-Carbon Anodes and Mechanistic Analysis of Sodium Storage”.
He has published 12 papers as first or co-first author in journals such as Chemical Communications and New Journal of Chemistry, several of which have been selected as ESI Highly Cited Papers. In addition, his collaborative work appears in Advanced Materials, Advanced Optical Materials, Small, Nano Energy, and other international journals.
Yueyang has led or participated in projects supported by the University of Macau Graduate Research Fund and the Guangdong Key R&D Program. His honors include the Outstanding Undergraduate Thesis Award of HIT-Shenzhen, the Third Prize of the MIIT Innovation Scholarship, the “Model Student” distinction of HIT-Shenzhen, and a Third Prize in the DJI RoboMaster Robotics Competition.
Current research interests:
- Rational construction and characterization of hierarchical-porous hard carbons;
- In-situ and synchrotron-based investigations of the multi-stage (intercalation–pore-filling–surface-adsorption) sodium-storage mechanism;
- Interface engineering and full-electrode/full-cell optimization for high-energy sodium-ion batteries.
- Devoted to unveiling the nano-structure/electrochemistry coupling that governs sodium storage in hard-carbon anodes and to translating these fundamental insights into next-generation, low-cost, large-scale energy-storage technologies.
